DC bus trip
Hi all-
You've probably received the emails already, but I want to mention that there is a bus trip to Washington, DC next Tuesday, March 25. Since we have a studio work day scheduled already, the timing works out well. Here are a few links to some of the DC institutions:
National Gallery of Art. (home to several Vermeers, among many other greats.)
Hirshhorn Museum (Currently: Jeremy Deller, Barbara Kruger, Francis, Benglis, Frankenthaler.)
The Corcoran
the beautifully designed National Museum of the American Indian
...and many others, including the ever-great Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

Whitney Biennial
Hey all, just a reminder, if you haven't been reminded enough: the Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC, is now open and runs through May 25. The exhibition occurs every two years and is organized by new curators every time, showing more than a hundred artists. This should be considered an essential pilgrimage for young artists, anyone wanting to understand contemporary art, and anyone who takes art (of any period) seriously. THIS MEANS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! There, now I've raised my voice... But, seriously DO NOT MISS IT! Ah, I've raised my voice again... Here's the link for more information: Whitney Biennial
